Our vision is to provide goods for the greater good.

Hi! I am Annie Persinger, and my husband Christopher (“Chops,” to many of you!) and I are the owners here at Do Goods. We met each other while we both attended Auburn University, and in 2009, surrounded by love and oppressive humidity, we got married.

All the years since have been packed with children and chaos, which we have found to be inseparably linked. Four of our children joined our family by birth, and one by adoption. Our adoption process led us into a deeper understanding of the complexities of the needs of marginalized people around the world, but we knew we didn’t have the resources or the wisdom to make a measurable impact alone.

Over the next couple of years, as we discovered a number of small businesses that were serving people in need, we had the idea to bring these businesses together in one place. Our desire to bring awareness to and support to these small businesses led us to begin Do Goods Mercantile Company, where we we believe that buying goods and doing good can be - kind of like children and chaos - inseparably linked.
